My Camaro 1LE head to head against Mustang Shelby in the real world.

This is great footage of what it's like in the real world head to head with a Shelby. This is from my track day last month at Miller, i had the GoPro on the wrong setting so this is from my boys phone. There is something wrong with the sound so just turn the volume down.

As i enter the track you will see a yellow Boss 302 go by then a grey Shelby, notice at 46 seconds the Boss lose it on the outside of the turn, he obviously felt the presence of the mighty 1LE even before the battle started. What comes next is going after the Shelby, notice how in every turn i can simply turn inside of him. At the 2:42 mark you can see his superior power just walk away from me, i didn't lift.The 1LE is a far superior handling car and i just proved it. He was obviously feeling the pressure of the 1LE and finally gave in and at 4:00 you will see the point by, at 4:08 you will see that Boss 302 broke down on the right of the screen, which ultimately brought out a black flag and ending yet another session prematurely.

I dont think he was pushing that GT500 nearly as hard as it could have been pushed according to the lines he was taking or wasnt a very aggressive driver to begin with...

This i dont know, but when he drove away from me on the front stretch that is some pretty impressive power.

The GT500 was either a 2013-2014, you can tell from the tailights, thats why he pulled away so easy with that 600+ HP but his suspension is basically a 10yr old design thats why he was struggling so much I suppose.

Like many folks on here (I assume), I came from the Mustang world.

While there is no doubt the 1LE handles better than a Shelby, it doesn't handle THAT much better. Either that guy was taking it easy or was just not very good.

With equal drivers (and driver aggressiveness), the power disadvantage should have been too much for your handling to overcome.

But still the Camaros look much better so it is what it is.

Nah thats a 2011-2012 Gt 500 550 hp

So I had to look it up. It is a pre-2013 with 550hp (stock) in the video.
