Apparently those that recommend other filters are missing the OP's point. He wants the SAME filter that came factory. No matter what the flow.

Since the same 73 number shows up on the USA made and the Mexico made filter, I'm thinking the catalog number was a typo, and NOBODY ever corrected it. Thus, the catalog number (77) will never match the number on the part. It rarely happens, but it has in the past.

But I'm confident if the factory is using the 73 number, the part is correct, obviously. No matter what they write on the box.

Interesting to see how ACDelco responds...

Indeed, waiting for ACDelco to reply. I actually tracked down some of the Canada-made, OEM Delco filters with the reinforced mesh and bumps on them from Pace Performance. We verified they are indeed the right part numbers by pulling them from the box and checking each one, so I grabbed 3 to keep me covered for a while in that dept.

Didnt want to use an oiled filter, just trying to put an identical one back in from what was in there.

Getting the same filter that comes in the car will be impossible after production the filter construction will be handed to an out side contractor. and as long as it meets the flow specs it will be certified as a replacement part no mater what it looks like!!

If they don't make the SAME filter anymore then he should take his stock one, put it in a box for safe keeping and get a K&N to use up...

No oiled filters for me. I'm covered for 45-60k now, bought three exact OEM ones from Pace as noted. Thx all!

I have a CAI on mine right now, so I essentially have a barely used OEM one and the "correct" replacement. Probably last me the rest of my lifetime...
