Ordering my ZL1, quick question....
I'm about to order my ZL1 this week in victory red. I'm unsure about the ECF though. Ideally, I want a flat black insert but I know I have to decide between the ECF or the AGM insert. What are your thoughts about either one with the victory red and black wheels? Does anyone have pictures of the AGM insert on a red car?

The AGM insert does a good job of emulating the "grayish" light reflection of flat black with the added benefit of being able to wax/polish it without ruining it. At the angles most people will see your car from, they will not be able to tell the difference.

I am wondering how the exposed CFH can withstand the sun? Aircraft CF must be painted white, but that is structural. |

My dealer just got his allocation for my ZL1 vert on Friday. He advised the ECF was on constraint, so I told him to skip it to get my order going. I will be having them paint it flat black before it leaves the dealership. My colors will be CRT with black wheels and black top and black interior. I don't think the gray heat extractor would look right.

Does anyone know how long the ECF will be on constraint for?

I'm curious if it is actually on constraint or not.

Ashen Gray Metallic is so dark its often difficult to distinguish it from black however I wish (and wouldn't be surprised if they eventually do) GM used Carbon Flash Metallic for the insert.
I have had more than a handful of people mistake my color (AGM) for black, looking at it from the dark side or at night.

I could go either way. If I were ordering one, I'd probably order it with the painted insert though.

I'm thinking I'll order with the AGM insert and either have it painted or try to locate an ECF insert in the future.

Does anyone have a pic of the AGM insert with the stripe pkg? I received a call from my dealer that ECF is on constraint so i changed order to AGM. I am now reconsidering the stripe pkg and if the color of the AGM matches the stripe pkg color?
