All cars have a glitch somewhere, over all, I am happy. I was so desperate to get my pre-orderd camaro, if it came with primer, I'd have took it.

No chips or scratches.

But my rear bumper and fuel door are just a c-hair different shade of white than the rest of the car.

My paint (IOM) is pretty good. Not perfect, as it has a few very minor dust specks, but smooth enough, and shiny enough for me, and I'm fussy.
I realize it's a Camaro, not a Ferrari. Although, even for a 30-40K car, they should all have a nice, log-lasting finish, no matter what the paint base is.
When I buy a new car, I definitely check out the whole car, especially the body and paint. One time, I went to buy a new '76 280-Z, and the one in the showroom had a door ding!

Out of the 150,000 Camaros built, how many have this issue? Is it a hundred? Maybe three hundred? How about a thousand? That's still less that one percent, but someone reading this thread may think its one in three.

I hope to think that my 'lucky' build isn't that lucky at all... maybe 4 out 5 are like mine (?)
There is not misconception.....there is already more than enough bad-paint postings here and we represent just a fraction of the total # of camaro owners and I don't doubt that there are members who who do not care enough to post they have a paint issue. Im just sayin..

I've got particles under my yellow that raise the paint, and particles in the clear on the other side. Both areas are the quarter panels. Some junk in the doorjam too.

I haven't seen a new Camaro yet with a "great" paintjob, if they exist they're being driven by bigfoot to go see the unicorn races.
On the bright side, I bought mine to drive the hell out of so it helps that it didn't come flawless because it sure wasn't going to stay that way on PA roads.

It definitely chips easily, especially on the gills.

I would also like to know. I'm in the market within the next month or two, but if this upgrade is coming relatively soon I may want to wait. Can you give us anymore info??

He always comes back with a one-liner. He's trying to inflate his post count and show everyone his signature picture while stating many, many times how his "new" Camaro only has "xxx" miles. You know those people that buy something to say they have it?

On my Camaro the rear fender, rear bumper cover, and ground effects are 3 different shades of yellow. The GFX are on the dealer..they offered to repaint, but I did not want to go down that road.

Does that mean your admitting that they got a problem painting the camaro?
