Won't really know unless someone has them side by side but right now there is no difference between the two that we know of.

The first post needs some editing. The axles and hubs listed there are '13 1LE parts, not ZL1.
Before I order a ton of stuff today, has anybody confirmed that the '13 1LE gears, axles, and hubs are a direct swap to a '12 SS? |

The hubs are ZL1 and 1LE parts. The half shafts and gears are 1LE only.

Wish I knew if this was all bolt in. Looks like for the diff, axles, and hubs will be $2319 shipped. Not that bad to have new GM parts that will hopefully hold some power!

Shoot. With all the retrofitting, upgrades, beefier parts, better suspension, yadda yadda...why the hell not just trade in and upgrade to an entire 2013 model year...

I thought the same thing too. For me it's a sentimental thing. I literally put blood sweat and tears into the car. Upgrading the drivetrain, getting lighter wheels and sway bars maybe will be in the ballpark as the 5k difference as the 1le is to my car. Also, you pay taxes on the difference between the trade in and your new car so that may be close to a grand extra.
