Actually I'm hoping that the 6th Gen, will be a new take on the 2nd Gen. |

Had to vote 5th. Love the 1st, but am too young to remember them being new so I don’t have the nostalgia factor working. I like the 3rd generation a lot because that’s the Camaro I fell in love with. My aunt had a black 87 that I loved when I was about 8 years old. I think the 4th generations are the worst. I loved my 1996 Z-28 when I got it, but it didn’t take too long before that thing started looking terribly outdated on the roads and I was craving something different. Plus it was a money pit and had so many things go wrong with it.

The first car I bought was a Burgundy 1969, and did not appreciate it as much as I do my current ride... sure wish I had it now!

2nd generation Trans Am will always be my favorite followed by the IROC Z.

It was a tough call for me between 1st and 5th but since I love my car so much I went 5th. The early 2nd gens and late 3rd gens look great too. I love the performance of the 4th gens, but the styling engineers took that decade off. The LS1 WS.6 is a different story though.

2nd They were horrible, heavy and under powered. But I was too you to know that.

first gen (69) (avatar pic)
had a second gen (70) - 307 automatic. pretty much hated all of them after that til the 5th gen came along. sorry if I offended any of you that had later years and loved them... it's all about personal taste.

I like the 1st gen the best, followed by the 5th gen. Next would be 3rd gen, Always liked the body style, thought it one of the best in a decade of fairly boring designs, but....my sister bought an 85 brand new and it was the most troublesome car our family ever owned. Never liked the 4th gens much, and the 2nd gens can look nice with the right options and color combination but they just never looked as nice as the 67-69's did to me.

i like the 2nd gen..long time ago, the upstairs neighbour had this wonderful 1971 z/28 green with black stripes.. i liked so much beeing woke up every morning ,with the loud exhaust it had.--it had sidepipes-- i just remember it had a 396 in it.. it wasn't its original engine, i think..anyway.i loved the shape of that car and the round tailligts.
i choose the 4th gen. why? i still love my trans am collector edition.my ls1 has great power and i love it. when it will be time, it will go for the new SS ... if ever it comes out.. |
