You can check with them directly, as you may be able to complete the first day that is Autox & Speed Stop, but no road course for sure based on that rule above...
Thanks for the info. I'll at least go for the autox.

I would still check with USCA about the convertible to make sure what they will allow you to do without rollover protection.

Yup, I am all signed up. Time to order some parts/ safety equipment.
Looks like I need a 2010 rated helmet. Mine is 2005, so going to have to get a new one. This event is going to get pricey with the extra's I need to get, but I know it will be worth it.

Greg, I have only done a couple road course races too, so I an a newbie on the road course. Sure is fun though.

Chuck, you can get by with a 2005 one this year only, they clarified that before in the rules. You need a minimum of a neck collar, SFI gloves, shoes, novice road course you can do jeans/long sleeve shirt. Intermediate group gets more expensive with fire suit

Lots of places, Simpson is in Orange County(I think or Torrance), online there is SafeRacer.com, Jegs.com, Summit Racing all sell them, G-Force I think sells them direct...

There are some economical choices for suits, this is a 1 layer, will pass inspection, http://www.saferacer.com/sparco-driv...r-driving-suit ,but if you plan to do a lot of track days, may want to spend more for a better suit with more layers of protection.
