If it's the same as the 2013 then there is a screw on the right side of the shifter just under the trim ring under the boot. You have to pull the boot up as far as it will go in order to see it.

^Actually, you have to first rotate the chrome collar at the bottom of the knob in a counterclockwise and downward motion. That will grant you access to the screw as well as let you remove the knob from the boot/collar.

Like others are saying (if it's like the 2013 which I believe it is)...
You have to gently lift up the chrome collar, turn about 1/4 turn counterclockwise, pull the boot down, use a torx bit to unscrew the securing bolt, than finally lift that puppy off. While it's off do yourself a favor and put a short throw shifter in there if you aren't already!

lol, by the time i got to that point on mine the shifter was broken and just lifted off without needing to rotate the trim ring.
Tried pulling....and pulling....and pulling per instructions...at times sounding like a squealing pig.....then heard a pop and off it came.....leaving a portion still attached to the shaft I should have checked the forum first but being the man that I am said "I got this, how hard can it be" Lesson learned |

Sounds like if you know how to remove it that it's easier than the 2010's was to remove. I almost knocked myself out when I removed it.

You're welcome. I ruined mine but didn't need it. I also yanked on mine like crazy because I had a 2010 before. The new setup is easier once you know about it!
