K&N Aircharger

I know that the general consensus is the CAI intake is the best, and I may move on to that later when more upgrades happen.

My question is this, if you could get the K&N Aircharger for free would you choose to use it?

Yes. It may not be the best, but it will still help and will be better than stock.

Best regards,

Yes it's better than stock by a hair off of Mr Magoo's head. Plus it's FREE!

I have a k&n intake and i got it for free as well an it 100% made a nice difference in sound and performance! take it, install it, love it. eventually im going to either do the CAI brand or Rotofab carbon fiber, but for now this works great!

That was my first mod!! I paid about $40 for it and I didn't feel like even one of those pennies was a waste. I'd say get it and enjoy!!

As much as K&N sucks, it's better than stock, and you're not spending any money on it. I say go for it.

I'd take it for free, send to ADM and get their CAI at a steep discount.

I would not install it. I would take it and sell it someone else though. I have had their intake on a different car and the fitment sucks. The plastic tube would keep pulling out of the rubber coupler that is supposed to seal the tube with the throttle body. The heat shield box is nothing more than sheet metal that has a lot of gaps in it so the engine temps can easily get into the box.

I got my car tuned yesterday and the guy doing the work had just been in Maryland tuning a bunch of Camaros. He liked the construction of the ADM CAI on my car and after driving around for a bit we saw the intake temps were only a couple degrees above ambient. He told me that while he was in Maryland, a couple of the Camaros had the K&N intake system and they were all reading anywhere from 20-30 over ambient while driving around.

Makes me glad I spent the extra money now!!
