help!!! glass wont come clean
okay so i know im dumb. I took the car to the beach on tuesday and then proceeded to use the spray sunblock while standing next to the car. well it was really windy and I guess a bunch of it missed me and hit the side view mirror (primarily), with some other splatter on the paint, and driver window. I noticed that night while driving home but totally forgot about it till today at work....
So basically the car was zaino-ed and the stuff that landed on the paint wiped right up with some water. but the windows/mirror wont come clean no matter what I do. I tried just water and that didnt work, then i tried windex and that didnt work, and then i tried an all purpose cleaner/grease cutter and that didnt work (all with paper towels and LOTS of scrubbing). so basically i have a bunch of little dots ALL OVER the side view mirror and some on the window that I have no idea how to get off. a couple of the bigger ones I could pick at with my finger nails but there are too many dots to do try that all the way around.... does anyone (moose maybe?) have any idea how I can get these off??? I would provide pictures but its dark. basically just imagine taking a spray bottle spraying once and having all of the liquid just stick. Im almost 100% its sun tan lotion if that helps at all. my next thought was maybe some sort of abrasive cleaner (pumice cleaner) that would scrub but i dont want to scratch the glass... does anyone have any ideas... please and this was after getting the windshield replaced today

If you can pick them off with your nails, then use a new SOS pad. Wet the window real good first and don't apply any pressure and don't scrub. Your hand is just to hold the pad next to the window.

while i didnt have a SOS pad I did have a non scratch cleaning pad (one of those plastic scrub pads) and that worked perfectly. it took a little bit of added windex and elbow grease but it got the job done. and my camaro is clean again

When you get problem stains and/or spots on the glass, Zaino Glass Polish works great!

You can also try clay bar... It is supposed to work on overspray, so I would think it would work on this. As far as I know it is safe for glass, I think I even used it on glass already... I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong...

glad you got all the spots off the glass
The best thing i have found for glass is the 3m White scrubbie pad. the part number is 07445, it's what window tinters use to clean the inside of the window before they lay the tint on it. here is a link for a box of them http://www.autobodysupply.net/3M-074...p/3-m07445.htm That should be enough to last you the rest of your life . i bought a box 2 years ago and i'm still using the first pad.i have seen some tint shops sell them by the single for about $1.50 . a single pad can be cut into thirds for easier use.
