Other car or lapping with v6 convertible?
Hi, I have a slightly modded v6 convertible. I recently went to the track and fell in love with motorsports.
I would like to race a lot more but I'm not sure if the v6 convertible would be a wise choice for racing. So far I've narrowed my choices to this : 3rd gen Trans-am/Camaro 4th gen corvette upgrade my v6, even tough it's a convertible. I would also like to know if it's reasonable to race the LLT engine. In other words, will I kill the car? Looking forward to all of your opinions. |

Are you talking about the Road Course or the Drag Strip?
Is your V6 you're DD? Do you have the means to keep the V6 and get one of the others? T.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same. Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different. I can't wait for my next Track fix. Road course, yes I would keep the convertible and buy another car. I have a suv for DD.
I'm just not sure if putting money towards a car that performs similarly is worth it. If my camaro was a coupe it would be a no brainer for me and I would upgrade the suspension + throw in some tires... I see the convertible as a less rigid car with lots of weight, but I maybe wrong, that's why im asking the pros :-) Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2 |
