Scratched at a hand car wash....

I was very angry to notice after I got my car washed at a certain hand car wash that my trunk lid had lots of scratches!!! They look like a good compound will remove them but for the time being I am constantly reminded never to let anyone else but me handle my car!

Why? Why did you let strangers clean your prize?
My husband and all the others that I know always do it themselves!

That was a quick lesson learned.

can you imagine the amount of dirt and grit that is in those hand wash rags.bad decision.if my car gets a very light amount of dirt,i may run it thru a touchless wash.

Always, always do it yourself...it's unlikely that anyone cares about your car the way you do and that way no-one has to die and you only have yourself to blame if anything happens to the finish

yeaa..... in the moment I would of rather pay 20$ to have someone wash it than for me to spend 2 hours washing it myself! Lesson learned...and funny thing is right after me was a white BMW M3...can just imagine what they did to his pearl white paint

2 hours to wash it yourself or at least that to use the compound and work the scratches out. I'd ask if they were in bikini's but it been cold around here so I will assume they weren't

Not with any of my toys. Gone through with a leased vehicle and many daily drivers. Most are hard on the paint from what I have seen
