well it didn't hurt I was doing 35 mph when I hit a hill that was as steep as a small brick wall. I had my snell approved helmet, alpinestar mesh jacket and shift riding boots on. helmet is cracked in the center towards the top of the forehead area. jacket and boots are just dirty. . . I missed a telephone poll by 10-15 feet. and this mysterious witness called 911. I haven't yet been able to track them down. I've talked to all the houses that were in line site of the accident and no one was home or they were watching tv. but supposedly someone was sitting on their front porch and saw the whole thing. I was hoping I could at the very least take them out to diner to thank them for pretty much saving my life. who knows what would have happened if they hadn't called 911. . .I'm saying someone was watching over me that night. thank god is all I can really say.

There is another Camaro5 member in the hospital after a peformance boat incident. I told him the reason he is alive is he had work to do. There is a reason you are alive and well. You may not why or what it is you have to do, but there is is reason.

Boxmonkey, very glad to hear you escaped with only bruises. A 35mph incident is pretty severe. But simply looking at your avatar, it was pretty clear you are safety conscious on a bike, and being prepared surely kept you from some bad scrapes and contusions.

But I like your follow up plan..................if there were such a thing to save up for.

I'm lucky I wasn't wearing that helmet that's in my avatar. that helmet is only dot approved and is no where near as safe as the one I just happen to put on that night. it's crazy I never wear the helmet I was that night. . .crazy

to the bold.

I figured you'd say something along those lines. . .but we know it's coming.

It's my job. Just like the bartender keeps your glass full, I have to try throw cold water on all hopes and dreams...............for a certain car that doesn't exist.

Interesting about the helmet. You just never know, good thing somebody has your back.

I'm scheduled for what I can only assume is an online GM focus group on Thursday at 5:00.

Number 3 must have influenced some folks because when I asked what it was regarding, all she would say was, "You'll see."

So make sure to tell us all how it goes.

Must be part of their GM training... "That car you see there does not exist". I am sure N3 is dying to tell us all sorts of good stories about the mythical car... and in time I hope he has his opportunity.

Box. next time do a better job of explaining the severity of your accident in the OP... Please....

I'm thinking it was hit by a car while parked...

Glad to hear you are fine...
