I had mine at school this past year. Nothing happened to it too bad. I got one door ding, but that could have happened anywhere. If it's your car, I don't see why not take it. And the door ding was done during the day, so it wasn't a drunken fool.

This is an interesting post. I gave my daughter my lexus i300 beauty when she went off to college when I bought my vert.
Her car has been hit 4 times, side swiped and door dinked to hell. I can't even look at it. It was a perfect 10 and after 3 years, perhaps a 3. Don't do it. College kids believe in wealth distribution. If they don't have a nice car, they will make sure you dont either.

Dude I'm going into my sophomore year at OSU, huge campus and I had my Camaro there almost all summer. Just take it, you'll regret it if you don't. Deep down, you know you want to so just go ahead and do it.

Hey, I don't know if you decided to take it or not, but I loved having mine!! There will always be people who are jealous, and that's just the way it is...
Luckaly I had a parking spot in an on-campus garage. I actually had two other camaros on the same level! It was a blast to drive around campus. My friends loved riding in it (that is, not to mention the girls that asked me for a ride - which I was more than happy to give them!) ! Let us know what you ened up doing!

I'm in college at the moment and I have had no problems. I also see other camaros on campus and dorm parking lots. I believe it all depends on the school.

You only live once! I say drive it as much as you want. I drive mine to school every day and have had no problems on campus. I couldnt bare to leave her behind anyway. Besides all the other shop guys love it and I park it around by the shop lot so as Im outside working on that pos toyota camry I can stare at it.

My friend Russ has a theory. He has a fully restored 68. He will leave it parked here in town and not worry about it at all, even unlocked-- because around here, most people don't want to get anywhere near that car. They're scared of it, kwim?

Case and point. Had to drive the Camaro to school for two weeks, hit and run in the parking lot. Cost me $660 to get fixed. It'll happen, just wait for it.
