Sorry! :( Many posts here about avoiding automatic car washes AT ALL COST! I've seen posts here state that there's the usual disclaimer before you go in about such things. Hopefully one of those unlucky fellows can guide you. Mine will never see a car wash - especially not in CA where you can almost always wash her yourself - even sneakily with the water restrictions!

Good luck!

especially with low profile tires, automatic car washes will jack your wheels up!

I've heard that some people actually do go after management to get it fixed, regardless of the signs that they post up saying that they are not responsible.

If you're rims would have been the stock silver, I could have suggested giving a call to Dr. Wheel but I'm not sure if they repair powdercoated rims.

I have the original set. So next week i will put those bad boys back on and take this one rim apart and take it back to the powder coaters. He does all of Chip Fooses powder coating. I was just so pissed at how rude the woman was inside that told me that i must have been driving stupid. I bet my face was bright red when I walked out of there seeing I was a former Drill Instructor for the Marine Corps. It took all that I had to walk away.

Sorry you had the problem.
Yup, the low profile tires are not high enough to get the wheel above the track edge in an auto car wash, will more than likely scrape the wheels every time.

Stupid sprinklers!!! I hated how my dumb neighbor would always turn her sprinklers on every time my truck was parked on my side of the curb. But when another persons car was there, she wouldnt turn them on.

sorry to hear man... get an estimate for the wheel repair first. Check and see if they have any visible signs regarding possible damages whatnot... Then go in and ask politely for the manager and explain the situation. Play nice first and see how far you can go...
