I'm looking for some information on what to do with a broken window motor/ mechanism.

I am finding very little on 5th gens. The car is out of warranty so I'll be fixing this myself.

Notice the snapped off cable !!!

Check the Chiltons manual first. Have not heard of this problem yet.
What is the window doing? Nothing? or making noise.

Well, I have to replace the whole regulator/motor assembly. $218 for the parts from the dealer. The cable snapped off

$100.00 at Rock auto, not sure about the year models covered though..might be worth checking into....good luck

I don't see any 5th gens regulators other than the rears for convertibles ?

I bought a complete regulator/motor assembly. cost me $165. It required taking the window out which was really not a big deal.
