black is a bear to keep clean, other than that all i can say is go with what you like best.im assuming you would inspect both before making a purchase.hard to vote ,the black one is a better bargain but not if you hate to maintain that black finish.

Have you thought about a ZL1...There are quite a few members selling at the moment and their vehicles are late model and low mileage...A lot more bang for the bucks...

Zl1.....
Would be fantastic but a bit out of our budget. Really not looking to go above the 31k (ideally 30k) out the door.

The '14 is sounding really good to me. Buying the car that you like the best would be your first priority. Secondly, you want to buy the best bargain. Even though the '14 is cheaper, you have to consider that the '15 has more of its warranty left. If it were me and the '14 fits my car goal the best then I'd go with that, and look into purchasing a warranty extension or a service agreement. If the '15 is what I would want then I'd shop around and see if I could find one with either less miles or a better price. If the '15 ends up being a bargain then by all means grab it.
Good luck.

Update.....walked of dealership post closing....
If you guys don't mind weighing in ... option one was the 2015 2ss for 31k out the door ....or so we thought....till the 500 extra for a two year extended factory warranty they promised my husband before signing ( which I think they should have thrown in) turned into 1.5k once we got to that post signing "add a bunch of stuff on" guy. They told us only 1 yr for 500. We got hella pissed and left but now hubby is distraught because he thinks we made a mistake by not taking it. I keep telling him to wait it out and look elsewhere. He is all about the 2015 2ss w<13k miles or less and nothing less. He also is averse to getting one out of state....but I am not. Anyway, if anyone knows of anyone who can compete or has any motherly/fatherly advice....we would appreciate it. We will finance through the dealer if necessary to get some knocked off the price (hubby told them up front we are paying cash (argh!))
Thanks everyone! |

That's actually how you are supposed to negotiate. You are going to get a better price out the door negotiating a cash sale than trying to play the finance game with the dealer. ALWAYS negotiate the cash sale price of a car, then finance the sale price after that number is confirmed if needed.
You come in saying "we will finance thru you" and you just lost all of the leverage. |
