LT Rental for 4 Adults
I am headed to FL at the end of January and plan on renting a car through Avis. They have available the LT Camaro for rental but I need to know if it can comfortably fit 4 adults in the car. Its been about a year since I have been to the show room to sit in the car. Currently we have a Malibu on rental but I am willing to pitch in the rest to upgrade to the Camaro.
For those that have traveled with a car load, are the people in the back able to sit comfortably as well as store 2 full sized luggage bags in the trunk. |

I'm only 5'8 and wouldn't want to sit in the back for more than 30 minutes. It would be awful imo.

The people in back will generally not be happy. It depends how tall you all are -- if you've got the front seats all the way up, it won't be bad.
As for luggage, there's plenty of room inside the trunk -- it's getting a large suitcase through the comically-small opening that presents the most difficulty. It's like those old kids games with the different shapes that you have to fit into the right hole. Trial and error will get those bags in. Here's what I say you should do: keep the Malibu for the other three people, and rent the Camaro for yourself! (P.S. I rented a Malibu recently and was super-frickin' pissed that it had better paddle shifters than my Camaro. REAL paddle shifters, not these little buttons. It's a decent car)

The back seat is good for a half hour trip IMHO, the tryng is a good size as long as what you are sticking in there fits through the small opening. Have a safe and fun trip.

not unless the people in the front are shorter than 6' and the people in the rear are shorter than 4'. Even then it will be tight.
I'm 6' 5" and my 4 yr old can't really sit behind me when I have the front seat adjusted for me to be able to drive.

If you don't like them put them in the back seat, if you kinda like them put them in the trunk it might be more comfortable LOL!

The Camaro is basically a two seater. A little kid could fit in the back, but wouldn't be able to look out the window. |

Exactly! I told the dealer I wasn't concerned about the room in the back. If at anytime I WAS back there I wouldn't be sitting up and I wouldn't be alone

I have had a couple passengers in the back seat for 1 hour or less and no complaints. these were women though not a huge man. if you have smaller passengers and dont mind sharing some of the front space it can be done.... that said I would never make anyone ride in the rear for more than a few hours.
as far as the luggage goes, I would opt for 4 smaller bags and you wouldnt have any problems.
