Yep. Great mod for a hundred bucks. I've never had any of these "light out" DIC messages others have reported either.

I'm not a fan of those Technostalgia ones because I don't like the look of all the little LED lights. I prefer the factory reflector appearance. Also, it looks like it's broken or something the way it flashes and alternates rows like that when you hit the brakes. Just feels unpolished to me.

It would be cool if you could get something like that except in an LCD screen or something you put inside the housing, so instead of a sparse field of LEDs, you get a solid color that can smoothly fade the sequential pattern with a nice smooth edge. Oooh! Or even have your own custom imagery and animation since it's a pixel-based screen. :P

They have something similar in the link below made by Option Racing or DefenderWorkx. They sell them on Amazon for a lot less though.

Personally I would be interested in an LED tail light that was just LED's in a close to stock pattern - no light show or sequential firing or anything like that - just on and off. I do want a reflector though and the Option Racing ones don't have that.

Please share if somebody know of a product like that.

THANK YOU RPI DESGINS for calling me back really good customer care. I spent hundreds on your products I don't mean to diss vendors but when you call a person Monday and it's going on Thursday it's not good communication

You could just swap the standard bulbs out for LED bulbs.

Yeah, I looked at that but I don't like the idea of hacking up my factory wiring harness to add resistors. I like a plug and play solution that is easy to bring back to stock.

I didn't really like messing with my wires either, but when I put LED's in the front turn signals, the resistor was a piece of cake to install. Someone here posted a picture with a hand drawn diagram on it which was the best and easiest diagram I've ever seen.

On a side note, does anyone know where to get not only the taillight LED's but also the resistors?

Ben
