2012 45th SS Coupe total produced = 2,810
I Just found out that there was 2810 of these cars produced in Total for that model. If I recall right there was something like a total of 2720 1968 z28's made. Its kind of a low production number for the model. Wonder in time if the 45th SS Coupe will be worth anything. What do you think?

I doubt it will be worth much. It may retain more than your typical decpreciation due to it being a collectors car but I do not see any appreciation out of it.
maybe when a 2012 camaro 2ss is going for say 10k used, a 2012 camaro 2ss 45th will go for 15k? |

Highly doubt it (as far as anything more than any other 2012 with similar miles)
A COPO, 1LE, ZL1 coupe and vert will be the collectable ones... all COPOs and depending on how many of the rest survive plus desirability will determine their value. Edit: add pace cars and synergy series to the mix as well

They do seem rarer....two of my friends have ZL1's, and at car show today, my 45th got just as many, if not more stares than theres! Curious of that number, how many were ordered with stripe delete? I rarely see 45th's, let alone with no stripes, like mine.

This day and age cars don't hold value like they used to unless they are like said above (copo ZL1 1LE etc) sure might be low numbers made, but only person who is going to pay extra for if is someone looking specifically for that car possibly..

Collectors are very fickle, did a report on it back in college as one of my majors was Marketing. As an example, original Beatles albums were worth more 20yrs ago than today. Trust me, I know...
Interestingly, mid-80's cars are very popular, the ones we all drove and got rid of, mostly... The 87 Buick Grand Natl's are commanding top prices these days, along with 60-70's pickup trucks. The thing that will make "our Camaros" worth something are two divergent things: 1. all original with very little miles 2. car so tricked out that is only brought out for shows. Finally, time....in 50yrs any of cars still around that are in today's shape will be worth a lot. Given a round or two of inflation like we saw in the 70's and it won't be anything to see our cars in great shape selling for more than what we paid for them in about 25-30 yrs. My plans are to keep mine all original, drive it on Sundays and then will it off to whomever takes my fancy at the time. |

I believe that the most rare are the Honor and Glory edition sold only to active service members. Next is the Transformer 3 Edition.

How is it that the lower production cars are the ones I always see the most? Kind of like ABM, I see 45th Anniversary cars about every other day.

Only time will tell. But low numbers definitely make a higher value more likely. At least relative to original price. The verts, bumblebees, and ZL1's are all multi-year runs and will have significantly higher numbers, so I could totally see these cars coming in higher.

I could be wrong, but I would hardly call that a rare Camaro. I see more 45th editions than all other special editions combined. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using smack-a-talk |

I know when I was Camaro shopping the two dealers I went to both had the 45th Anniversary editions. One dealer had a Coupe SS and the other dealer had THREE, a Coupe V6, SS and a vert.
In my area I see 4 different 45th Editions driving on a semi regular basis. The only TF3 Edition I see is mine. Also, couple local Camaro Club members that have been to quite a bit of shows both said the only TF3 they have seen is mine. I'd be willing to bet there are waaaaaay less TF3 editions out there. With that said, if any of the Special Editions become collectors cars of any value it will be looooong after Im dead so..... |
