Hmm, not entirely true. In October, Chevy sold the most Camaro's in history and through October sales are up 14% YoY. Ad valorum taxes vary state by state therefore there may or may not be any reason to push year end sales over any other month. In Texas, Ad valorum is collected at time of sale therefore, there is no taxable reason to move year end inventory.

2016 Inventory is becoming scarce due to the red tag incentive initiated in October and there are nice deals to be had, if you can find them. Current incentives on Camaros are squat, some random $1,500 rebate from corporate and rebates from the dealer level will depend on what the franchise qualifies for in their quarterly bonus incentives. You might get lucky and stumble across some random 2-3k additional off as dealers are holding back 3-6% in blind rebates for the negotiating table. A few Dealers have 20% red tag allocations remaining, but they are extremely rare and unless you are connected you will most likely be told they don't exist.


If you do go shopping over the next few days, these are your target prices.

Sourced a few 2SS 2016's yesterday for two members;
10x Coupes @ 34-37k
6 Verts @ 39-42k

Pretty sure one we're taking is a White on White with NPP, Sunroof, Navigation and MRC for $35,000.

Half of the coupes were in the greater DFW metropolis and I was even offered a deal on a 2017 ZL1.
