Recaros OMG I love them they fit my skinny #$@ and keep me planted in the seat around those turns in the mountains. Way better than my leather seats in the 2015

6'2, 230 lb
When new the seat was a little tight at the thighs. Now it has relaxed so it is OK, although i can still feel a bit of pressure. It is not as comfy or as roomy as that of the Hellcat I tested, but it holds the body laterally better. I actually prefer the ZL1's because it holds me nice and tight. As far as legroom, the seat is all the way back I and I have plenty of space. I probably could move it forward a notch and still be fine. As far as the passenger seat is concerned, my wife is 5'5 and 115 lb so for her, no problem. She has yet to say anything about hardness which is a testament to the comfort of the seat. I’m 5’10” 200 lbs. love them. They are tight and keep me in place. When I’m looking for more comfort then I’ll just drive my Honda Accord

The weak link of my 16 SS were the leather seats...At 5'9' 175, I was sliding all over the seats, when I was out playing...the Recaros are Perfect and keep me planted in the twisties!

5'10 215lb. The seats hurt my back without lumbar control, and my "leg day" ass threaten to spill over the sides. But I'm not going anywhere in them.
They were comfortable enough for a 100 mile drive. |

The 4th gen F Bodies had decent lumbar. I don't know why the Camaro has such a flat seat back. I'm not a fan of aggressive lumbar support, but this car needs more. Even a slight amount of lumbar support would make the seat more comfortable. The lack of lumbar is one of the first things I noticed when I sat in a ZL1 the first time.

Id agree with that.
Some lumbar adjustability would have been nice but I'm not complaining. My 15 SRT Challenger leather seats were really nice, but weren't made like these to hold you in place. |

6'2", 280 lbs. A little uncomfortable on long road trips (talking 700 miles in a day) but other than that no issues at all, they're snug, but I've sat in worse Recaro's. The Recaro's on the Ford Focus RS and ST are much tighter, and the Recaro's in the Shelby GT350 are also a little snugger than the Camaro, and you can't get a heated or cooled option on those Recaro's in the Shelby (Ford went cheap).

These Recaros fit my wide ass WAY better than my 2014 GTR Black Edition. I almost sat on the bolsters in that car. These are also better than the Recaros in my 2012 CTSV

I find the Recaro's quite comfortable. Yes they are a tight fit. But that is intentional to hold you in the seat. |

I'm in the market for a refresh ZL1 vert (now the 2013 ZL1 vert) and I did 2 test drives and trial sittings but they are tight guys. Me 6'4 240 lbs.
Because of the vert choice I think I like a more relaxed sitting/cruising position like the '13 ones they are like sitting on the couch. Also bc I drive it as my daily (87.000 miles right now) But I do understand the coupe/track guys tho. But I'm really thinking of putting like 6 cases of 32 water bottles on my seat at night to get the bolsters down a bit. Or I have to shop Hell Cat red eye ( but no vert stupid aholes !!) Or a 800hp Mustang vert by Lebanon Ford. |

If you want the side bolsters a bit softer take the cover off and drill a grid of holes in the foam to soften it up. The size and number of holes can be varied until you get the foam the way you want it. It also doesn’t change the look of the seat and if it doesn’t work out you can always replace the foam. This is a popular mod on the Corvette forum. There are quite a few complaints about the seats in the C7, since they’re narrower than the Camaro seats.
