Thumbs up Trifecta tune

Finally got my car tuned by trifecta this evening. I got tired of waiting on hp tuners to come around. lol. anyways. although i'm very happy now i had some problems with the download.
I did everything trifecta told me to do, and i began the tune programming to my car, it got to 99% completed and then a error popped up. my service stabilitrac came on and my car would not turn over and all i can say to myself was OH NOOOOO! my cars computer is all messed up now. well after i calmed down and was trying to think what to do i decided to try redownloading the tune back onto my car and i was sweating bullets when it reached 99% but it finally worked! my service stabilitrac went off the screen, my check engine light was off, and everything worked. i felt like 30 tons of pressure was just lifted off my shoulders. anyways. i'm very happy with the tune, i will give it a few days to set in before i do a data log but this tune was long over due and needed to be done and i'm just happy.

Glad t hear ya worked it out! I would have flipped. I am a computer idiot and was so worried about just that. I freaked when the laptop screen went into sleep mode.

What is this talk of using YOUR computer. I want to get my car tuned but I wasn't aware you could do it yourself. Personally I'd rather take it somewhere but how does this work?

i ordered my tune from bad news racing. you order the tune and a red cable which is $465. after you place the order they will contact you, want to know what mods you have done and from their they write a custom tune for YOUR car and send it to your email address and from there you download the tune to your car using the red cable they provide. in all its way easy to do, i was imitidated by doing it myself at first but they have step by step instructions that make it way easy.

How much is a tune at a shop? 465 sounds kind of expensive for doing it your self.

you must remember there is very limited tuning for the v6 camaro because of the bosch computer our v6 camaro's use. Trifecta is the only company who has tooken the time to make a tune for these camaros. badnewsracing.net is the website. its $315 for the tune then 150 for the cable that you can return later for a refund or you can keep it for future tunes for your car if you do any further mods.

You don't do any of the tuning yourself, we still do all the tuning. You just use your own computer to flash the tunes we send and to take data logs. The $465 includes you keeping the cable and includes free retunes for life for most mods. The tune by itself is only $315 if you know someone that has a trifecta cable.
