DT dropped their catback? WTF?

Also, If you want a loud idle dont get a bullet style muffler, get a chambered, bullet style mufflers soak up alot of the idle tone. I havent had any problems with people telling me my idle is quiet like stock.

I briefly had the Borla S type on my L99 A6 and it definitely had some drone at cruise speeds and produced the annoying AFM noises (this was before I had my car tuned).

Maybe on the LS3 M6 it has a different effect.

Now I run a Magnaflow Street catback with Kooks headers (geat combination with quiet cruise).

i havent had mine long... so i hope it stays like it is now... and i always have my radio on (but not loud).... so maybe thats why i havent had any drone.....idk. did you have the cat backs or axle backs? i have heard horror stories about the cat back system and the drone and afm noises.........

thank goodness i kept my stock system just in case the borlas get too loud and annoying..........

yup bolra is known to drone. i had bolra touring axle back way back when i first got my camaro. it was my first time putting a exhaust on a car. didn't realize it droned until i put another system on.

i think people don't realize what a having no drone really means lol. the drone wasn't that bad to me, but its still there.

LT Headers with stock exhaust is probably the least drone with the best sound.

i like the idea of just doing hi flow cats. anyone else feel this would be a good idea? thanks to all for the replys. i guess if the factory cats are restricting, makes sense that hi flows would give a deeper sound.
