Smile SOLO HFC'S INSTALLED,,WOW!!!

Well, just got back from the shop, had the Solo HFC's installed, took all of about40 minutes with no problems, and when we started the car up after the install,MAN was I impressed with the sound, revving and driving the beast home it seemed like the sound almost doubled like stated above. Seems also like the throttle response was quicker also and the car got up to speed quicker. I had to drive it like a beast on the way home cause it sounded so AWESOME, glad I did this mod and I recomend it to whoever wants some more sound and some power. My permagrin got lots bigger now, the car sounds like it should have from the get go.Thanks Steve at Solo and my mech Clint for the new found excitment, and you guys who said I would be impressed, and I was no doubt..Thanks.

Saw this exact same posting in your other thread about the SOLO HFC's... Congrats. The stuff to start on my HFC upgrade should be arriving within the next week or so, and I can't wait... I haven't seen any videos of the pypes catback so I don't know how loud it is, but I've got the Dynomax UltraFlow #39494 axle back, x pipe, and resonator delete and desperately needs to be louder still.

Let's see some video!

I don't have a video camara but I am going to see if my friend can do a vid for me. I listened to ALL the exhaust vids on this forum before I made my choice. I chose the Pypes Pypebomb axle back due to the vid they had on their website, I liked the sound. I cut out the L99 big ugly resonater and replaced it with a Magnaflowtruflow x pipe, 2.5 all the way out to the Pypes resonated 4.5" tips, it was nice and grumbly for me and when you got on it sounded pretty good, but not loud enough for me. I was going to delete the Pypes resonators and replace them with just straight pipe and new tips, but decided to get the Solo HFC's for the power gain and sound, and man those babys doubled my sound output, it sounds REALLY mean and nasty now, almost like the Mustang I had after I put the LT's on it with flowmaster 40's and offroad hpipe. I am really pleased with these Solo HFC's. The sound now is PERFECT..And still have my warrenty..

Please do post videos if you can... I also watched a butt load of videos before I decided on the Dynomax axle back... I don't recall the Pypes system being available when I got my car 2.5 years ago. Unfortunately the video on the Dynomax website sounded louder/meaner on video than it does it real life. I loved the sound on the video, but in real life it's not as loud/aggressive. If HFC's make it 2x as loud, I think it will be perfect.

Congrats! We told you you'd love them! Now tack on a Solo catback system and enjoy, IMO, the best sounding set-up out there! I actually had them install a pair of resonators just to tone it down a little, now it's perfect!

The added throttle response and power comes from a bigger inlet opening and free flow design of the cats. Take a look at the stock inlets and then look at the Solos, BIG difference! The stock cats are THE biggest point of restriction on the stock system!

Enjoy bro!
