It's GM. Why they move at a snails pace is beyond me at getting their performance parts out. It's very frustrating. I've tried to keep my GM car all GM, but they have not allowed me to do so. So somebody else got my money instead of them. They are losing a lot of money/sales over this.

The kit I installed today had something in it that is supposed to reduce the noise, I didn't install it since they didn't recommend it if you race your car which I do often.

GM part #'s that were given to me by an engineer at GM: Shifter #24257312, Knob #24257863. Limited quantitly available so go to your Chevy dealer and have them look it up. Be ready to pay over $800 total! Let us know if these numbers work and what they quote you!

I believe the GM/HUrst shifter option is about a $380 option avail as the addition on the build sheet. 800 seems wayyyyy high unless the DEALERS are going to be marking all that stuff up, which is common!

$380 as an option when you order the car but $800 if you already have the car and want to replace the stock shifter with the GM Hurst "factory" unit!

I was quoted - retail price $767.72 and $85.00, total $852.72.

No thanks. Maybe at half that, no way in hell at $850.

My dealer told me the same thing today except the factory hurst ball was $80.00. They've got to be crazy. I'll just get the after market shifter and get the factory ball. That's half the price. IMO this is a fail GM.

I have the Hurst shifter from the factory and I don't have a shift ball. The shifter is the exact same as OEM shifter except mine has the Hurst logo on the side.

That's what I mean. But like someone else posted I wanted to give GM all my money for parts and installation, would rather have as much GM parts on my car as possible. It just seems to me GM is missing the boat here.
