I have an iPod classic 160g that plays ok, there is occasional popping during playback. However, my bigger problem is when I turn off the car the iPod seems to stay on and drains the iPod battery, so much so that the next day I have to charge the iPod before it can be turned back on. Does anyone know if the software update may fix this problem?

Is it worth upgrading from DB/DB --> DB/DD? My iphone occassionally disconnects and has to be plugged back in and I have gotten pops and static before.

For those who can't get their BT devices to reconnect, delete both profiles (car & device) shut down and restart your BT device and try again. Fixed mine that followed my DB/DB update. No DB/DD available.

Sorry for asking the dumb question, but how do you know what software version you're running? I looked around here but can't find the answer after 15 pages of searching.

If you hit aux, then hold menu/select for a few seconds it should show you.

first you have to plug somthing into the USB port, like an IPod or just a flash drive, such that the system will know its there. Select USB.....Then push in and hold the menu/select button about 8 to 10 seconds and on the display it will display two things what HW (hardware) version you have, and below that will be the SW (software) version you have.
