Two different ZL1 steering wheels?
In looking at ZL1 interior pictures, I have noticed that there seems to be *two* different ZL1 steering wheels present (see attached pic).
Is "A" a pre-production prototype, and "B" the production steering wheel, or is one part of different package, or...? Cheers, Kent |

It appears B is the final version. It's the one I have.

Those of you that got the suede steering wheel/shifter, how do you like it? Does it get dirty or can you see the wear from where you primarily hold the wheel? Just curious, I have leather and after seeing and feeling the dash and seats, I am glad I did not get the suede upgrade.

so far no issues on the suede wheel or shifter now that the fuzzies have stopped. i am noticing though that the suede over my radio is starting to come un-glued already

I'm on my second replacement dash pad. There were two wrinkles in the first one and this one is much better but not perfect. Unless it starts coming loose I'm ok with it. If leather wears smooth and becomes shiny after time, the suede surely be worse.

Ours is a B, but last Friday, the paddle shifters quit working, so we are now awaiting a new steering wheel and was told it will take between 1 and 4 weeks to get a new one!

Except for pre-production cars, I have never seen version A. I have 2012 VIN #150, and I have B. I went with the standard wheel and shift knob and have no regrets. The leather is very nice and easy to clean. I wish the suede on the dash was part of the same steering wheel/shifter option so I could have avoided the dash suede.

The A version appears to be on the 2013 cars, see the recent thread of delivered 2013's.
