Custom knob

I want to buy a custom shift knob for my 2010 SS, LS3 but I'm not too sure of the thread size on the shifter (or if the shifter even has threads on it)

Anyone out there know?

If you have the factory set up the shift knob is pressed on, there are no threads as other aftermarket shift knobs have. There are other aftermarket companies on the web and I believe on this site that sell a conversion kit which is a sleeve over to the factory shifter. These sleeve over kits will raise the hight of the the shift knob unless you are inclined to "cut doen" your factory shifter. The kits available to sleeve over your factory shifter are less than $100 bucks and installation is about 20-30 minutes.
Good Luck

No threads, you can either cut threads in it or get an adapter

Just google the shift knob for the camaro. I had one before I went to the Hurst short throw and did a modding to fab the retro boot. Much happier with the short throw

Thank you guys. I really appreciate the help and the link.

I found a site that sells some killer knobs.

I kinda want to make the stock shifter a bit taller while adding some threads at the same time with one of those kits that 2ndtimess mentioned.

MGW is where I got mine, I got the retro kit. If you go on thier site you will see a picture of it but cannot click on it. You have to contact them directly to get that kit.
