Sorry that's not my dept . I don't deal with the wiring group.

----- I guess it was a long shot but I have a nice snap on tool that lets me poke the wire and see if it is hot. I am going to go out in the garage and check around. I feel this might be a challenge.

Apologies for having a question that has a rather difficult/tedious answer, but your efforts will most definitely help others, I greatly appreciate the time and effort you are putting forth.

Well I went out a poked around the fuse box and they are all hot as expected being the fuse box. I then poked a few wires under the dash as best I could constantly testing them with the car armed and unarmed. I get the feeling the parts we need is behind the dash and up there deep. I even went so far as to listen for relays moving or clicking. Nothing. I will ask the guy if he has any contacts in that department but based on his short answer I am thinking he is a busy guy.

You need to poke around and test the pins on the BCM (under dash). We need something that is hot when the alarm is on and not when its unarmed and only when its unarmed. I'd do it but my cars not here yet :(

Sounds like a lot of work and time, thanks for all that work

What do you mean? Is there a light for the factory system?

Well all I know for sure is the little dome in the middle of the dash blinks when the alarm is on. I'd like to trace that wire but it would mean dash removal.

I was hoping it wouldnt resort to that... I do appreciate all the time and effort that has been put into this inquiry thus far.

Here's the wiring diagram. I just received my service manual today. The LED is part of the ambient light sensor.

Ludicrously AWESOME! Muchos Gracias!!!! Mui Bueno!! Ok, so this is what I am gathering...you are saying that the light that blinks while the car is locked on the center of the top of the dash, the power for that is coming off of the ambient light sensor from the gray block under the driver side, and the wires is on the 21 position on that block? So do I actually need to find the black wire that branches off of the ambient light sensor? I will have to see about tinkering with that as soon as i can, and I will post pics of install once I get some time may be this weekendish, if all goes well.

The black wire is just ground. You can get that anywhere on the metal on the car. You might need to use a relay if the BCM has a current sensor on the output to the LED, but you might get by if you're just powering a few LEDs.

Thanks for the schematics! But if it's for the ambient light sensor doesn't that means it's on all the time? Or are your saying the sole purpose of that gray wire is for the blinking led and it is just labeled as under the ambient light sensor?
