I found that you can take the stock bracket that they give you at the dealership and you can mount it down in the lower grill off centered and it fits perfect. I have mine all the way over to the drivers side.

CFD - I can agree with you that mounting the front plate like this doesn't seem to impact the airflow to the radiator in any meaningful way. I've had my plate mounted in front of the lower grille for nearly 16k miles now (1 year) and have had absolutely no problems with the engine temp. I drive in slow moving freeway traffic every afternoon and don't see a difference in temps even when the air temp hovers around 100+ during the summer.

Thanks for the pic. Im thinking that the off center position would just make my OCD just explode. Doesn't look bad, just not for me I dont think.

I used less than $10 worth of parts from Home Depot and it's held up remarkably well. I need to pull the brackets off and do two things: paint them black and bend the upper bolts down a bit to make the plate more vertical.

I used the following things (x2 - one bracket for each side of the plate):

(1) 2" bolt [bottom]
(1) 3" bolt [top]
(2) 2" mending plates [one in front of grille, one behind the grille]
(1) wing nut [on bottom bolt, to make install/uninstall easier]
(2) lock nuts [on top bolt, on either side of mending plates]
(2) 1/2" x 1" plastic spacers [to center bolts on either side of cross bar in grille]
(1) 3/4" bolt extender/joiner [on end of top bolt, in front of grille]
(1) 1/2" bolt + washer [through plate into bolt extenter/joiner]

I need to get better pictures but here's a side view...

I Really like this solution... Seems simple yet more secure than just zip ties or toggle bolts which are some of the other no drill / no modification methods... Thank you.

Someday maybe Wisconsin will do away with front plates and I want to be ready!

I like the idea that it will catch a high curb and warn you before messing your bumper up.

thats a nice install.

You should probably put that all together and sell it on Ebay for like $20 or something lol. Thats probably the cheapest and best looking way to do a front plate without any drilling.

The thought had crossed my mind but I'm too busy working at my regular job to deal with ebay sales and shipping (tried it before with SLR camera lenses). So, I'll just post it here for everyone to use if they want to do it themselves.
