Music City Camaro club had a planning meeting today at Chuy's Mexican Restaurant at Opry Mills Mall in Nashville. Earlier in the day we got a post from club & C5 member chriscamaro69z28 saying hello from Afghanistan saying "Sending some love from Afghanistan since I can't be there for the shows but I will be ready when I get home in June for all the car shows hope to see everyone then".

We got to talking & decided we needed to send him some love back. Two members present for the meeting, buzerk3 & jdmaro10 will be going to Afghanistan in the near future also. So we put together a little tribute to the 101st. Here are my pics but other club members will have some better ones to add soon.

Stay safe chriscamaro69z28, all out brave 101st personnel and all our military & support personnel overseas keeping us safe at home and thank you very much for your service.
AND happy birthday to my favorite mechanic Karen (Heaven_is_infreno_orange)! Happy 13th birthday LOL

Ft Campbell KY/TN is home to the 101st ... the Screaming Eagles. We have had the priviledge to get to know a few of the many soldiers that have called this area home, even if only temporarily.

I would much rather that there wasn't the need for the 101st and other divisions of the Army and other branches of the military to be deployed throughout the world. However, because of the dedication of these men in our Armed Forces, we are able to enjoy the freedoms that we have and the peace at home - and for this I thank them.

Chris currently isn't able to attend our club events for the next 9 months or so because of his deployment to Afghanistan, but he is present with us nonetheless.

(While subtle, the cars making up the first "1" were selected specifically ... one Victory Red ... one Summit White ... and one Imperial Blue - though we woulda loved to have Chris' ABM here!)

Adam, you are always welcome to drive south & join us. Our sister club Derby City Camaro Club, has lots of events closer to you too & some of us attend each other's events. Hope to see ya at one of our events.
