GM High-Tech Performance 2010 Camaro Shootout!!!
3rd Annual GM Performance Parts LSX Shootout October 15-18 Memphis Motorsports Park Memphis Tn.
If you have a '10 Camaro you need to be in this class. If you have a friend with a '10 Camaro please tell him that he needs to race in this class. There is a great opportunity to see your car in the pages of GM High-Tech Performance magazine, the #1 late-model GM book on the planet! GM High-Tech Performance 2010 Camaro Shootout Class Rules: Each contestant will be required to register and compete in the Tremec True Street class (vehicles must meet True Street rules) on Saturday and complete all three runs, only the fastest eight 2010s will be selected. The eight competitors who have the fastest 3-pass averages will be placed on a sportsman ladder and will race heads-up on a 4/10 Pro Tree. Each Camaro must have an LS or LLT (V-6)-based motor, OEM-style transmission, electronic fuel injection and be stock-appearing. Racing seats are permitted, and each car must comply with applicable NHRA and NMCA safety rules. The winner will receive an LSX block courtesy of Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center as well as an LSX Shootout jacket, plaque, and a feature in GM High-Tech Performance magazine. The runner-up will be awarded a jacket and a plaque; all contestants will receive LSX Shootout T-shirts and subscriptions to GMHTP. |

Sounds fun but............I dont wanna put a cage in my car and I know these events they are very strict. I dont imagine alot of "fast" cars will be there. When I say fast I'm talking about mid to high 10 second cars.
I'd love to participate, but dont wanna make the haul for 1 pass.

Safety is the most important thing at all of our events and should be at every drag strip. Insurance for these events is costly and that's one of the requirements to get the insurance is that all cars comply to all NHRA safety rules.

Word is that there are several cars capable of mid to low 10's and high 9's planning on being at the shootout.

"What is up with that? " : end quote No Gen 1 small blocks or big blocks. LS would be LS1 LS2 LS3 LS6 LS7 LS9 LSA LSX or any LS based iron block. LLT of course would be the V6 engine. Either the LS or the LLT Robin
