A/C seats eliminate summer swamp ass.

My wife's 2014 impala has the a/c seats, love them.

Heated seats in a Camaro are for wimps like me. When it's a morning low of 55 degrees out, in the dead middle of a South Florida winter, (Dec - March) I need those heated seats. No, I'm not kidding. We die in 55 degree weather.

I plan on doing this sometime this summer to mine. Tinted every window including the windshield to keep the sun out but there is nothing like cool air from the seat to keep you from being swampy when its hot out. The leather now is preforated so I cant see how hard it would be to either make something up myself or buy factory parts from other cars. My Lexus before had them and I never turned them off. Cool leather feels awesome in Florida heat.

Sounds like a gimmick at first...until a hot summer day...and then you're in love. No more back/crotch sweat! Plus you don't have to crank the A/C as high because you're being cooled from both sides.

Are they actually cooled as in blowing cold air onto your back or are they ventilated as Cadillac has used in the past?? The Recaro seats in the CTS-V's are ventilated, meaning they pull air away from your body but are not connected to any A/C. It works great but I believe other manufacturers connect the A/C under the seat to blow cold air up through the cushions.

My 2011 ram 1500 had the cooled seats and it was amazing. Many 16 hour straight drives in 30c weather and never back sweat.
