Also for me the yellow panels is just too much, too bright. THe more goldish Bumblebee Sunrise color or perhaps even orange would look better and contrast more with the bright yellow of the car.
I think the angle of the picture makes the unit look uneven. We need a picture from the rear driver's side seat and one from the driver's seat. I agree that a black console would make this look even better.

We dont do rough spots!!

It looks like a great unit. I look forward to seeing this sort of work on more Camaros.

Ltlaudio,

You have an unbelievable talent! I would have never thought in a million years of trying to replace the radio in my Camaro until I came across this thread. Keep up the good work and I look forward to your write ups. Outstanding work!

to be honest it would look better if it werent tilted back the way the stock radio is, if you brought the top forward so it is even with the bottom and built an enclosure around it then it would look better IMO.

Couldn't disagree more...But since most of the early DDin installs will be a major mod like this, you could certainly have it installed that way. I just can't envision a protrusion as you're describing being very attractive at all...but I'm all for individualism

the stock radio controls and screen are housed in the interface box that goes either in the trunk or under the passenger seat. all stock controls can be accessed through there.

You can get a head unit that has the same functionality of the PDIM... but it will actually work lol.

So how about the wiring, is there any 'super-crazy' maneuvers you have to go through in order to do this. Or is it not that bad

VERY awesome work bro. And I don't sling praise like a frycook slings burgers either. I used to compete in db drag when I was...alot younger..lol.

The amp shelf and trunk both look very clean. Yellow is not my color, but regardless, I can still see the quality.

The projectors are sick too. Nice little touch there.

Out of curiosity, any idea how much (if not all) of the warranty this will void?
