Smile 2010 Camaro vs 2009 Mustang Race Craft GT

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ice=&cardist=0

420 hp, 400 ft torque vs 426 hp, 420 ft torque.

35,995 vs 34,000 camaro..so price wise it's close. (manual with leather to be comparable)

Weight and gear ratios would play a large factor in this race, me thinks.

Weight and gear ratio has already won. The mustang is nearly 300 pounds lighter. A decent set of tires is all its needs. Not the rubber bands, but a decent 35/40 tire in the back.

Unless you are comparing two cars that you intend on buying right now, I'd suggest you compare MSRP's of the cars, in which case that Mustang is $40,995.

Anyway, due to weight it has the advantage. It weighs about 350 lbs less than the Camaro with similar engine specs, something is wrong if it isn't faster.

at the end of 2008 I found this same car "08 models" brand new going for 32-33k.

Very good bang for the buck I thought. Just something about it makes me not want it. I can't put my finger on it.. just something about it. Like maybe it's a "chinese" rip off with Saleen origins... oh wait.. it is.

Funny thing is that its a tuner car not directly from ford like that. Isn't that what you argued the other day in the other form about people saying put a HPE 550 package and then see who wins? How ironic that you kept disclaiming that but now put a modded mustang against a stock SS. hmmmmmmm

Anyway I would rather have the Roush mustang, looks ten times better and also has more hp. 435 hp and 410 torque

I started this thread on purpose because of that.

To the Chinese comment.

I'm not too sure how informed most are about Steve Saleen. He sold his "Name" company. That company went out of business and another company has snagged it up. This entire 3 year period... Saleen Mustangs have been still hitting showroom floors(if you have noticed an over whelming additions of Saleen mustangs... this is why). This racecraft was them branching away from the saleen name to make their own "cheaper" version of a saleen. Which kind of flopped, and both years I've seen this car made the dealers have to let them go for 34k or less brand new.

This new company that currently owns saleen company is bringing another 2010 Saleen to the table. You will see that it looks much closer to this "racecraft" mustang then the original saleens. And as I'm sure most know, Steve Saleen has started his own "SMS" company. He is also making a SMS460 mustang.... which to me...looks more like a "saleen" mustang then Saleen makes. if that makes sense. It's just ford boy drama.

See below pics... of the SMS And Saleen Mustangs....

Then here is SMS's mustang....

some times less is more. on the SMS the front and back are too over done, too many extra lines and slits. looks like something you would see at Hot Import Nights from a cheesy body kit company.

as for the saleen, it looks better than the SMS but i think that brand's looks went downhill fast after the 04 body style...just gimme the performance aspect of these kits and keep the generic styling...

if the op doesn't mind too much, i'd like to throw this mustang into the mix for comparison. it looks way better than either of those turds
