the rest looks like a regular maro. im dissapointed in jay leno. how dare u make a camaro look like a z28 and toss a TT v6 in this. if the TT v6 is not making more than 500hp and 500tq ill be dissipointed
more then likely it wouldn't reach 500 tq but 500 hp it might. that's the biggest disappointment I would have if this is a Z. where's the torque?

If the body was designed by Jay Leno, he should stop reading motor trend and looking at GM spy shots.

Carbon Copy of the pics we've seen, aside from the hood.

Hey guys! I've 'Designed' the new Corvette C7: It looks exactly like the one in Transformers 2, except the spoiler is different! Can I goez to SEMA Nao?

i guess with enoguh boost it could be attained. even 450tq would be do able, but the car would have to lose 200+lbs to make it worth while.

this car is like the LS7 concept we went ape shit for last year pretending it was the z28. gm just like to trick us with these crazy looking concept and not saying anything about the Z28

I'm not sure jay had a lot to do with the engine, at least that's how I understood it.

who's to say he didn't have the design down before the motortrend guys saw the clay. who's to say that it wasn't his clay model?

another reason I don't believe it's a Z28. goes against the concept of a Z28. but what do I know. like I said I'll believe it when they say "This is the new Z28. it has a twin turbo v-6 blah blah blah."

or not. motor trend sees a model. they make scetches. who made the model and who inspired the design are unknown. to say he ripped it off is pointless because you don't know. and to say he didn't is almost as pointless. YOU JUST DON'T KNOW!

I think that probably about 3 months before Transformers 2 was in pre production, the Z/28 design was more or less finalized.

If GM and the rest of the world wouldn't have gone tits-up during TF2 production, chances are good that the new bumblebee was going to be the free advertisement for the Z/28 model that has been put on hold until recently.

Once again, just my opinion.

Nabbed from Motortrend:

TF2 Bumlebee:

From GM publications:

Change the hood, and you have more or less the same car that is on the SEMA floor.

All we can really do right now is speculate until the Detroit Auto Show, at the earliest.

Which sucks, cause it's a long ways away :(

Good point. But have you guys noticed that anything Camaro related seems to bend the space/time continuum? It seemed like about 15 years from my order in November till I got the keys in June!

At that rate, waiting till January will probably feel like about 4.3 years :(
