I'd wager a bet that they're easily as heavy as my magnaflow cans. I used them on my old car (and loved them). Going to put some on this car with turn-downs at the axle, but they're certainly not light. It's a 3.5" stainless tube with another full-size 3" stainless tube inside it with stainless packing material. Heavy duty stuff
It is not made of feathers but it is definitely not as heavy as a system with traditional mufflers, especially the boat anchor stock one.

@ Chase, this system with the headers sounds awesome, how much does it cost and weigh?

I agree with chase.. Get the retro chambered catback. That's my black SS in the first vid and I'm still very happy with it and smile every time I start the car up. Had lots of compliments on it..nice and deep with a loud growl. There are a total of 4 chambered mufflers 2 after the x-pipe and 2 before the tips and they aren't heavy at all.

There is none with the retro chambered catback! I've had mine for 6 months and zero issues with drone.

Does this Chambered system get the decel popping really bad??? I know my Solo system "gurgles" like hell when letting off the gas (especially if I down-shift). I don't really mind it, kinda sounds cool, just wondering if the SW system does the same?

Yes it has a decent amount of decel popping but its tolerable.

Like shadow09 said, it is a drone free system.

Decel popping is something that needs to be addresses with a tune. With out that you are going to get it.

Im pretty much sold on the stainless works as long as their weight reduction is similiar to other cat backs (ie not 10 pounds lighter when others are 30-40). Once Stainless gets back to us with the figures Chase, I will be pulling the trigger and getting this system thru you.

In reading other posts about this topic, It looks as if the stock cat back system weighs about 72 pounds...

Zoomers seems to be 38 lbs lighter than stock- which would mean the system weighs roughly 35 pounds (im not sure on this as that would be damn light)

same with Borla- claim is 43 pounds lighter than the stock system, so roughly 30 pounds for the entire borla cat back system. (again, that is light so im not sure if this is accurate or I could be not comparing apples to apples here)

I just took the exhaust off a 2011 Camaro automatic, and it weighed in at 81lbs. So I would call it a good 30-33lbs of weight savings.

Thanks

Nice.

It's a buddy's car. I just know how much it weighs because I built the system.
