Why no wave?
Owned two corvettes before this 5th gen camaro...
Why is it that camaro owners do not wave at each other? Are we all rude ? Or is this saved for upper models like z28? Haha (SS owner here) I mean I have tried it a few times and was met with a dirty look or a stare .... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Head nods work better, waving is for people who own subarus.

I dunno. I wave or beep at every one I see. I don't see a lot of response either but I usually think it's because I catch them off guard.

I wave to most 5th gen Camaro drivers. I got no waves back at first but now after a while of owning the car people are getting to know they will be waved at by me and are waving back a good part of the time. It does catch some drivers off guard at first I think.
Its kind of funny but I never wave at a fellow Camaro owner when next to them at a light. I don't want them to think I will race them.

I think it's because people who buy Corvettes do it more for a fun ride with a little bit of extra pride that's not always their DD. While Camaro owners are available to more of the masses and many people just want a fun looking or driving ride that has some potential for some quick moving fun too. Personally I like to wave to the other Camaros on the road, especially when I'm driving mine, but I don't always get a wave back.

Too many Camaro owners now are not really car people.
This happened to Jeeps as well. Jeep people always wave when they see another Jeep. But since the 4 door came out you started getting a lot of grocery getters and soccer kid deliverers that just look at you crazy when you wave.

Back in 09 it was common to flash your Halo's, now the market is so flooded it just passed on the wayside.

I don't see many on the roads here. I do a small 2 finger nod I guess. Most male drivers acknowledge and wave back. Only have had 1 female wave.
