24 hours of Daytona pics from Pfadt Racing - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

As some of you may know, the 24hours of Daytona was this past weekend. Pfadt Race Engineering had the opportunity to take part in the weekends various races, and contribute to the Competition Associates team effort (CA Sport). This team is local to Pfadt, here in Salt Lake City, and currently run a Mustang in GS and a Civic in ST classes. Pfadt was called on to provide their engineering, race strategy, and vehicle development knowledge for the "Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, Fresh from Florida 200" race. There were a handful of Camaro race teams there, and below are some pics of them as well as others, including a brake rotor failure! We figured it would be good to show everyone what we have been up to last week.

As for the CA Sport Team, unfortunately we blew up a motor in practice in the Mustang and got it back together just in time to race. The race was going well even though we started from the back (no qualifying because of the motor) when we had a brake failure in the last 1/2 hour of the race. The right rear rotor came apart, take a look!

Very Cool, at least you can say, "we race what we build or sell", yes ??

Just wish they'd combine Grand Am and ALMS for just the 24 hour race, that would be cool to see who comes out on top, and the overall.

Verry cool pictures.....can someone explain to me how the pronounce Pfadt phonetically? I can't figure out if the P is silent or not.

Hi Blade,

Pfadt can be pronounced similar to how you would say "fot." Thanks for the comments!
