Question on changing springs

I'm going to put some lowering springs on my SS. What do you guys think are the best brand for the price and is there anything else that should be replaced while I'm at it (bearings ect). The car only has 30k.

Lots of good choices: I got the Apex/Pfadt springs for less than $200 shipped during the Black Friday deal. BMR has various spring heights available and I have heard good things about Hotchkiss as well. Take a look at Apex's guide to lowering springs thread on here for more detailed info.

I just ordered a set of Hotchkiss from JDP. So that's my vote.

The Apex Motorsports 1.25" lowering springs are the way to go. Just did mine over the holidays and recommend them highly.

ZL1 take-offs work well too. About a 1" drop.

BMR and Hotchkis are both great choices. I prefer to stick with the 1" variety for the best ride, but 1.25" is fine too if you really want that last 1/4".

You won't have to change out anything else with them, just swap them out and get an alignment afterward. Bushing timing/indexing is also recommended.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

Best regards,
