Vert LT2/RS Mods?

A buddy suggested that I get some modifications once the LT2/RS arrives.

I found a package online that includes a Diablo Trinity Tuner, 3" Cat Back Magnaflow Exhaust, and a Cold-Air intake.

Will this give me any improved performance on a V6? Or is this just overkill, and I should consider spending this money instead on a fishing trip?

I will hang up and listen.

PS: Whats the difference between Cat Back Magnaflow, Flowmaster, and Borla Exhaust Systems?

Cat Back exhaust is from the catalytic converter to the exhaust tips and an Axle back exhaust is just the mufflers and tips. There are different brands and each brand make both types of exhaust. If you add headers they go in front of the cats from the heads of the engine to the cats.
You will feel a difference from stock and your gas milage should increase also (under normal driving conditions). Your car will breathe better and give you a much better sound.
Before you get it make sure that the 3" piping will fit between all the bracing under the vert. I would hate for you to tear it all apart and find out it will not fit. You can check with Magnaflow for fitment.

We probably should make a thread with all the abbreviations and definitions for new comers to get familiar with when they join the site. I know I was lost when I started reading these post, but I read them for about 2 years before I even joined.

The tuner would be a waste of money for you, friend. Diablo doesn't tune the V6 3.6 L LLT.

Since that's the case, I would verify that the package you were looking at was for the V6. It sounds more like it was meant for the V8, since it has a 3" exhaust and stock LT coupe exhaust necks down to 2.25" (I've seen and have a 2.5" exhaust meant for the V8 coupe on my LT, but I've never seen larger for the V6).

If the kit is for the V8, I don't believe the cold air intake is going to fit either. Please double check that kit before you throw money away or have to deal with a return.

I agree. I still don't know everything and I have to either search the term or google it.
