[QUOTE=1LEMayhem;6666651]I've read where GM has replaced motors due to reasons not as major as the OP's.

Funny that you should mention that. When I took mine in for the oil cooler coolant leak thing, I was told by the service manager (a good friend and one I trust 100%) that if the threads could not be tapped properly on the block, GM was recommending engine replacement. But your valvetrain blowing apart and causing PTV contact only warrants repair.........and not even considering pistons!?
What I call that, I cannot say on this forum! So I'll just use this:

Ya gotta push for a complete rebuild or new engine! They blew it up, they gotta fix it and fix it right! Whether you get that is a coin toss.......but keep after them. Good luck.

I agree, you need to ask for a meeting with the dealers factory service representative, he is the only one with the authority to make this right for you.
I wish you luck.

No chance on earth either one of those would happen.

Nutro good luck with your situation, i hope they step up and do the right thing

mistakes happen, give them the chance to make it right.
The same dealer that JUST told me that damage to the top of the pistons is "Nothing to worry about sir, it won't affect performance"?

Pics are loading..
