Installing Injen CAI soon, will I need a tune?

I have a 2013 2LT RS and will be installing the Injen CAI when it arrives next week. I'm curious as to if I'm going to need a tune or not. I've seen mixed responses online, and was hoping someone here had done theirs recently so I could know. Also, if I understand correctly, if you do a tune that is not through GM, does that void the warranty? That is a concern for me seeing as the car is pretty new. Thanks!

You will not need a tune, but your car may need some driving time with the new intake to relearn the airflow before you get the best performance out of it.

Of course, with a tune your car would certainly make even more power, but it will void your powertrain warranty if something bad enough happens that they have to take a peek at your computer.

Good deal! I'm only doing little small things here and there, until my warranty is up. Might as well use it while you got it right? Thanks for the input!

And if its any consolation, the injen intake is already a tuned intake like the v8 version Vararam...but like KM said no tune needed

Yup they got it right. No tune needed. Just some driving to let the ECU relearn.. It also wouldn't hurt to pull the battery. It will make the learning for the larger amount of quicker.
