Have offered to send the VMax for this test but got no reply.....would hope he would do it as I trust his opinion would be fair and unbiased. Would put this to rest even though Jannetty & Mike Norris have done it several times.

Boat rx, I'll cover the cost if they will do it. Let me know.

If this has been done, stock vs hand ported vs v max ported, by all means, post a link. Also, I'd like to note, this is being done on an engine dyno correct? If so, that eliminates alot of variables in the whole equation don't you think?

I'll see Jason tomorrow and ask about the other TB's he needs and remind him of this thread. He may have a line on the Vmax TB already.

That's too bad. However, I'd have a hard time trusting honest testing by someone reluctant to accept an offer of a part. But iirc sometimes it takes him a while to respond...so it may be that he hasn't had time to reply.

He's been out of town on business a few days this week. In fact he was only at the shop 1/2 the day today as he just got back into town at lunch.

I put a VMAX throttle body on my slowpoke, and didn't notice anything, no gain in power, no increase/decrease in throttle response, nothing, though I didn't really expect much....

Send it back then! We offer full refunds as there are so many in line to get them.

I am not looking to send it back, just stating to me, there was absolutely zero difference between it and the stock unit. I know others disagree, but that is what I found with the throttle body...

This is my impression as well. It is all too easy to get caught up in "Forum Frenzy". That's why I've subscribed to this thread. If some acceptable HP and Torque gains can be demonstrated, I'll buy. If not, I won't.

Here's my .02

I put a VMax ported throttle body and intake on my car, and have the pre and post dyno chart that I'll post below.

I dynoed 470 rwhp @ 6299 and 423 rwtq @ 5378...Then I ported the stock intake and throttle body...granted we didn't run the car out to 6299 the second time ( stopped @ 5923 ), but the dyno graph on the HP side showed 2 less HP....I picked up a whopping 9 rwtq @ 5232. Dyno sheets don't lie...hardly worth the $400 + to do the mods.

Why on earth would you not take the offer? If it made no difference then you wasted money that could be put elsewhere.
