help with header install.

i installed my headers today on v8 and now there is a louder ticking...im not sure why???? can some one please help me...if u wanna give me call to hear it pm me ill give u my numberneed help asap

sounds like a exhaust leak... check your bolts and gaskets..

Likely normal LS engine sounds amplified by the headers. Check out this thread for more details and possible causes ....

i checked it but i still hear a ticking ima let it cool down and try to tight up the headers again

Where is the ticking coming from? Check your collectors and o2 sensors. Make sure those are tight. I had some initial ticking with mine and had to snug everything up some more.

razor thats exactly wat i did the gasket was ticking and the couplers were not tight enough so i tightened it some more....thanks guys its all done...this thing sounds likea best now. like a real muscle care should sound!

Glad it worked for ya man. Enjoy the new power and sound. It is amazing how terrible a small leak can make everything sound. Its even more amazing how great it sounds when the system is leak free.
