Yeah I got this email too. But Octane isn't one of the free stations so it's useless to me. I love Octane.

XM should do something where you can pay less for just a couple of the stations or something. Then I'd buy it. I can't justify $10-$15 a month just for Octane.

Sirius and XM are the same thing now all the channels are aligned I have Sirius in my DD and XM in Camaro. the only difference right now between the two (I think) is sports "Extra" channels.

Part of the technology, satellite is line of sight. So unless there's a terrestrial repeater around, you'll get cut outs when you lose the signal.

Free? Ok. Renewing my subscription? Not gonna happen. I've received offers upon offers, upon offers and they go straight to the trash. Since it expired, I've been pursued by XM to renew but like most of you, I'm not going to pay for ads, and yes, they do have commercials! I also noticed that the music seems to play in a loop. What I heard a day or so ago at a certain time, I'm hearing it again at the same time (on my way home from work). I love my iPhone and play my music through it; playing what I want when I want to!

I absolutely hate XM, its like the apple of the radio industry....
Commercials when they said none, on the comedy channels... Big farce and a rip off. I wonder how these clowns even got a satellite into space... Worst customer service ever.

And whats best, it cuts out ALL THE FREAKING TIME. Like a skipping cd... Due to my area.
I thought satellites in space alleviated mountains and HILLS causing full blown cutouts.

So CD antiskip technology was TOO ADVANCED for XM to incorperate? I HARDLY think a 128meg buffer would even show up with the bean counters.

I got the "free 2 weeks" notice. They also offered me 6 months for $25.

They have already done so many dishonest things to me and others that I refuse to ever give them a penny unless they go through a complete change of their business practices. IMHO, as they are now, they are scum.
