you wont have any problems with CAI intake. Its really easy to install... no cutting required.

it changes the sound of your engine quite a bit... it growls more when you stomp on the pedal.

Thank you for your order. The battery disconnect is to protect your car's electronics while the install is being performed. In all likelihood, nothing happens if you don't do it but the intake manufacturers have to cover their backsides. I am not familiar with the electrical codes you mentioned.
