yes that is a very short throw. very impressive. on my 02 z28 i have the factory hurst w/ a short stick and it is nice. been wanting to get the hurst billet. but havnt seen n e real videos like this for a 4th gen.

i heard that the 5th gen requires a lil bit more effort in the shifts, that didnt look like there was much effort on those shifts lol.

I added the Hurst shifter and bought the "Pistol Grip" handle. There are 2 main problems with the Pistol Grip. 1 : It is too tall. It is 4 3/8th inches from base to top so the short throw is lost due to the height. And #2 problem is that the threaded adaptors that come with it do not fit (too big diameter) the threads on the chrome shifter. I am sending it back for a refund. The white ball looks good as my car is black with the inferno orange interior and the contrast is nice. A black ball or the black billet ball would also look good.
IMO rethink the "Pistol Grip".

Very nice Killer, I like the shift from 2nd to 3rd with the Hurst compared to stock.

There are aftermarket shifter balls out there for $46. You get black ball with Hurst embossed on both sides a new Hurst chrome handle and another boot retainer.

We installed two Hursts in little under 3 hours. The first install (mine) took 2 hours. The second one took 45 minutes. Had to take a 15 minute union break though.

The throw is awesome! The sound and feel, equally awesome.

My only wish was to have it installed and coded on invoice (as I had originally ordered) from the factory. But I did have fun bonding and getting close to her.

I loved the sound of the exhuast and how short the shift was for each gear but didnt like the clank sound when you shift it into the next gear

I like the movement some, but not the ball.

In my 4th Gen I had the Pro 5.0. That thing was bad ass. It had adjustable stops and smooth motion. It did have gear noise though as since it was my wifes DD, she wasnt so happy. When I got my 3rd 4th Gen I pretty much had it all figured out, I just got me a Lous Short Stick for the stock shifter and all was well. Not as smooth, but shorter and quiter and a happier wife.
Anyone have any experience with LSS on the 5th gens?

It a Hurst..it has to have a Q-Ball Haha. The knob is one of the things I look most forward to replacing with my shifter. I can't wait to install this.
