This is the ticket right here. You'll be pleased. I rode a similar setup into the 10's with 1.60 60' on the stock converter.

I have not been to the track with them yet, my butt 60' times seem alot better. With the street tires I could not launch at more than 2000 RPMs on the street and I still would spin if I then WOT in 1st. I did a 3,500 launch today on the street after warming them up and it held really well. My grorce axles have been delivered and I am going to try a launch at around 4,500 RPM at the drag strip. Will know for sure on the 7th. I did not zip tie them back, I just use a couple of 1/2" hose clamps. I just pushed the line back through the little bushing an inch or so and then added the hose clamp behind it. This seems a lot stronger than a zip tie, doesn't bend the cable and you can't even see it.

As I stated earlier the C5 wheels will work with a small spacer so they clear the Brembos.
Are you saying the C6 ones require NO spacer?

Thanks

Mine are the C6 ZO6 wheels with a 40mm offset and they required NO spacers, went on like it was made for it with the exception of the e-brake cables that I had to adjust so they would not touch the wheel.

For those interested House of Wheels has the 18" wheels with the 40mm offset (No spacer needed). I ordered a pair today for a decent price. He told me he has plenty more in stock. Ask for Bob

What did you get? Some used Z06 wheels? or were they some new wheel?

I just saw in the Camaro Now magazine....they had a Discount Tire ad and it says that they have the Camaro SS wheel in 18" starting at $165. I wonder what those are like and if they would fit with the proper offset. Any one know anything about those wheels?

I think he has both, used OEM and replica's. He stated that they have loads of them and different styles for a good price.
He is trying to become a vendor here but had some hiccup.

I was referred to them from the corvette forums

I have a set of C5 Z06 rims that require a spacer. They clear the brakes but rub the inner fender. 1/4" spacer should work.

I ran a 275 with better success than most. 1.60 60's every single time And 10 second passes. You don't necessarily need such a big tire.

I went to the drag strip last weekend on the new wheels and MT 305/40/18s and improved from a 12.078 to an 11.200. My best previous best 60' on street tires was 1.977, the outing running with the new wheels and MTs I got a 1.735 60' and ran a 11.200. I still think I can do a better 60' with some practice, but this is a huge improvement for sure. I launched at 4,000 RPM. You do need to heat up the tires good to get them to stick.
